Boston Ballet’s ‘Our Journey’ that includes Nanine Linning and Justin Peck

Boston Ballet‘s Inventive Director Mikko Nissinen has introduced Our Journey – a programme showcasing two insightful up to date works that displays the curiosity in regards to the world and a shared need for human connection. 

La Mer, an explosive world premiere by lauded artist and choreographer Nanine Linning, explores the romance, magnificence, and volatility of the ocean and is the results of a extremely collaborative effort of a unprecedented workforce of artists from around the globe. La Mer is a 50-minute work carried out by 33 dancers, 45 musicians of the orchestra, and eight singers. All over the place We Gochoreographed by Tony-Award profitable choreographer Justin Peck to music by GRAMMY and Academy Award nominee Sufjan Stevens, makes its Boston Ballet premiere. His energetic choreography for 25 dancers shines in opposition to a nine-movement orchestral rating composed by GRAMMY and Academy Award nominee Sufjan Stevens. This work is Peck’s second collaboration with Stevens. With costumes by former New York Metropolis Ballet Principal Dancer Janie Taylor, units by Brooklyn-based artist and architect Karl Jensen, and lighting by Peck’s frequent collaborator and Boston Ballet Lighting Designer Brandon Stirling Baker.
